Embroidered Desert Cactus Bedding

Cactus Bedding Set: Sizes, Prices and Options | Jeminise

The Jeminise cactus bedding set, Embroidered Desert Cactus Bedding, starts at $34.90. What you end up paying depends on three choices: duvet cover, quilt or comforter; the size that fits your mattress; and how many pillowcases you add.

It's one of six designs in the Best-Selling Custom Bedding collection, where prices run from $34.90 to $154.90 depending on the options picked. If you haven't settled on cactus yet, compare all six best-selling custom bedding designs first. The rest of this page takes the three choices in order, gives you a way to check size against your own mattress, and works one queen-bed example through to a decision.

What do you get with the cactus bedding set?

The cactus artwork is fixed. What you choose is the form it comes in. Across the Best-Selling collection, the option lists are:

  • Bedding type: Duvet Cover, Quilt, Comforter
  • Set options: No Pillowcases, 1 Pillowcase (20" x 30"), 2 Pillowcases (20" x 30"), 2 Pillowcases + 1 Sheet, 4 Pillowcases (20" x 30")
  • Starting price: $34.90
  • Care: "Machine washable fabric ensures long-lasting use and easy maintenance." This line appears on all six best-seller pages, the cactus set included.
  • Fabric: "a blend of Polycotton, Cotton, and Polyester for a smooth and comfortable feel," stated across the collection including the Embroidered Desert Cactus Bedding listing.

These are collection-wide lists, and a single design may not carry every option. Before you plan around one, check the cactus set's own sizes and prices.

One word in the name needs care. Although the listing title uses the word embroidered, the artwork is a high-definition printed rendering of needlework and floral textures across smooth polycotton fabric, keeping the surface flat and easy to machine wash.

To apply this at home, hold the product photo up against what's staying in the room: the headboard, the pillows you're keeping, the wall behind the bed. Screens shift colour, so judge the overall contrast rather than the exact shade.

What to check

  • Which bedding types the cactus page offers
  • Whether the cactus motif is stitched or printed
  • The fabric line on the cactus page itself
  • Washing temperature and drying instructions (machine wash cold on gentle cycle, tumble dry low)

What does semi-custom bedding mean at Jeminise?

Semi-custom here means the artwork is set and the build is yours. You don't upload a design. You pick from fixed lists, and on most of the best-sellers you can add a name:

  • 3 bedding types
  • 12 size labels across the collection
  • 5 set options
  • A custom text field "where you can add your name directly onto the design," described on four of the six best-seller pages

The name field is what makes the set personal. Everything else is choosing from lists. Your custom text is printed along the lower banner area of the artwork in a coordinating display font, and custom orders go directly into print production without a separate email proof—so treat the text box as final.

You may also see the JeminiXclusive label on the site, which marks Jeminise's signature in-house artwork series across all six featured bedding designs.

To apply this, write out the exact text before you open the product page. Decide between a full name, a first name or a family name. Check capital letters and spacing, then read it back letter by letter. If the bedding is a gift, confirm the spelling with someone who knows it rather than going from memory.

What to check

  • The text field is on the page of the design you picked
  • Spelling, capitals and spacing of the name
  • The character limit
  • How the matching 20" × 30" pillow shams coordinate with the main desert floral artwork

Duvet cover, quilt or comforter: which should you buy?

Bedding type moves the starting price more than any other choice. The "usually means" column gives the general sense of each word. Details of Jeminise's versions are marked where they still need confirming.

Bedding type Starts at What the term usually means Confirm on the product page Suits
Duvet Cover $34.90 A fabric cover that goes over a separate insert Insert is not included (shell only, pairs with your own insert) Someone who already owns an insert, or wants the lowest starting price
Quilt $46.90 A thinner top layer of fabric stitched through Comes in Throw (60" × 70", $46.90), Twin (68" × 86"), Full (80" × 90"), Queen (90" × 90"), and King (102" × 91") Someone who wants a lighter layer, or one that also gets used off the bed
Comforter $64.90 A filled, one-piece top layer used without a cover Built-in down-alternative microfiber batting, ready to use out of the bag Someone who wants one piece with nothing else to buy

Two of the six best-seller pages say the piece "functions beautifully as a bed quilt, a picnic mat, or a cozy throw blanket for various indoor and outdoor settings." If you want bedding that leaves the bedroom, look for that line on the page.

To apply this, start from what's on your bed now. If there's a plain insert under an old cover, the duvet cover is the cheapest swap. Measure the insert first: the cover should match it closely, or the insert bunches or slides around inside. If there's nothing to put inside a cover, the duvet cover becomes a two-purchase job, and the quilt or comforter is the simpler buy. Between those two, the quilt's starting price is $18 lower ($64.90 minus $46.90, comparing starting prices only).

What to check

  • Do you own an insert, and what are its width and length?
  • Is the type you want offered in your size?
  • Does the comforter's $64.90 starting price fit your budget before pillowcases?
  • The comforter's fill and weight, on its product page

Which size fits your bed?

The collection lists 12 size labels in three styles, and they don't line up. US Queen is 88" x 88". Queen without the prefix is 90" x 90". So the label alone won't tell you whether a set fits. Your mattress will.

Inch sizes with a US prefix

  • US Twin: 68" x 88"
  • US Full: 78" x 88"
  • US Queen: 88" x 88"
  • US King: 104" x 88"

Inch sizes without a prefix

  • Twin: 68" x 86"
  • Full: 80" x 90"
  • Queen: 90" x 90"
  • King: 102" x 91"

Metric sizes (inch figures are centimetres divided by 2.54 and rounded, worked out for this page)

  • Twin: 173 x 218 cm, about 68" x 86"
  • Full: 200 x 230 cm, about 79" x 91"
  • Queen: 228 x 228 cm, about 90" x 90"

Other

  • Throw: 60" x 70"

Specifically, the four US prefix sizes in inches (68" × 88" to 104" × 88") belong to the Duvet Cover, the five standard inch sizes from Throw (60" × 70") through King (102" × 91") belong to the Quilt, and the metric centimeter sizes (173 × 218 cm to 228 × 264 cm) belong to the Comforter.

To apply this, measure three things on your bed: mattress width, length and depth, with any topper counted in the depth. Then run two sums for each size on offer:

  1. Side drop = (cover width − mattress width) ÷ 2. If it's at least the depth, the sides are covered.
  2. Foot drop = cover length − mattress length, with the top edge level with the head of the mattress. Tucking it under the pillows uses up some of that.

What to check

  • Mattress width, length and depth, topper included
  • Side drop and foot drop for each size on the page
  • Which labels the design offers in your chosen type
  • For a duvet cover, the insert's size as well

How many pillowcases should you add?

Set options decide what comes with the top layer. Starting prices are listed for the first two only:

  • No Pillowcases: from $34.90
  • 1 Pillowcase (20" x 30"): from $44.90
  • 2 Pillowcases (20" × 30"): from $54.90 (Duvet Cover US Twin) or $66.90 (Quilt Throw)
  • 2 Pillowcases + 1 Sheet: from $109.90 (Comforter Twin 173 × 218 cm bundle with matching flat sheet)
  • 4 Pillowcases (20" × 30"): from $89.90 (Comforter Twin 173 × 218 cm)

The two known starting prices are $10 apart. That's one floor price subtracted from the other, not a stated add-on cost, so watch the total on the product page as you switch options rather than counting on $10 per case.

To apply this, count the pillows that sit on the bed once it's made, not every pillow in the house. Then measure one. Every pillowcase option is 20" x 30", so a pillow close to that size fills it, and a much smaller one will sit loose. Two pillows to sleep on plus two kept for show is the case for 4 Pillowcases, and each 20" × 30" sham carries the coordinating blooming desert cactus artwork.

What to check

  • How many pillows show on the made bed
  • Your pillow's width and length against 20" x 30"
  • The running total after you choose the option
  • What the sheet is in "2 Pillowcases + 1 Sheet"

Worked example: a cactus quilt for a queen bed

The numbers here are made up to show the method. Put your own in their place.

The situation: a queen mattress measuring 60" wide, 80" long and 12" deep, no topper. Two pillows. No duvet insert at home. A budget of $60 for the bedding. The buyer wants the cactus design.

Step 1: type. With no insert, the duvet cover means a second purchase. The comforter starts at $64.90, already over $60 before a size is picked. That leaves the quilt, from $46.90.

Step 2: size. Run the two sums for the three closest sizes:

  • US Queen (88" x 88"): sides (88 − 60) ÷ 2 = 14", covering the 12" depth with 2" to spare. Foot 88 − 80 = 8", so 4" of mattress shows at the foot.
  • Queen (90" x 90"): sides 15", 3" to spare. Foot 10", so 2" shows.
  • King (102" x 91"): sides 21", hanging 9" below the mattress. Foot 11", so 1" shows.

Queen (90" x 90") covers the sides and comes closest at the foot without the King's extra width. If the cactus quilt only comes in US sizes, US Queen still covers the sides and leaves a 4" gap at the foot.

Step 3: pillowcases. Two pillows means 2 Pillowcases. The lowest queen starting price in the collection is $49.90, for US Queen. On the cactus product page, selecting the Quilt in Queen (90" × 90") with No Pillowcases is $81.90, and adding 2 Pillowcases (20" × 30") brings the total to $101.90.

Step 4: decide. If quilt, Queen (90" x 90") and 2 Pillowcases come to $60 or less, that's the order. If it runs over, switch to No Pillowcases and keep the current ones. That keeps the fit and the design and gives up only the matching cases.

  • The sizes the cactus page offers for the quilt
  • The total after each option you change
  • The name, letter by letter
